"Bridging the Grief Gap"
From Paula ~ USA
4.0 out of 5 stars Enlightening
This review is from: Recapturing the Joy: "Bridging the Grief Gap" (Paperback)
A good read that brings forth some very relevant points on how to be a better communicator and friend. It is intended for the griever and non griever and their interactions , but shouldn't be limited to just that scenario. Thru the heart breaking experience of losing a child, Deborah has learned to listen, ask the question or make valid suggestions and is very passionate about helping others do the same. As a bereaved mother, experiencing the isolation, I am hopeful that the lessons and suggestions will help me start to bridge the gap!
Thankyou Paula for all of your kind words. Thank you for taking the time to invest yourself in this endeavor. I appreciate and value your feedback and comments. HUGS ~ Love Deb

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful book!
This review is from: Recapturing the Joy "BRIDGING THE GRIEF GAP" (Kindle Edition)
This is a beautifully written book that's not just for the grieving but also for the non grieving. A lot of the time the non griever doesn't know the right things to say or do.......it's the age old thing......unless you've gone through it you don't fully understand. This book does exactly what it says.......it bridges that grief gap. Helping us to face that fear that we as non grievers all have.Should we mention his/her name? Will they be sad when we do? will they even go as far as making us uncomfortable and cry?
Sad to say that this gap does exist but this book is all about helping us bridge that gap.
Although, Debs the author had sadly lost her daughter and for me it was the loss of my sister that brought me to this book, it helped me greatly.
I admire Debs so much ......she has such wonderful insight and to be able to put that into words and to share that with grievers and non grievers is a true blessing.....for both.
I only wish I had had this book years ago when a good friend was grieving for her life long best friend and I just wasn't there for her enough and through that........ not understanding....... being ill equipped.........I lost a great friendship.
There will surely, sadly, be a time in your life when you need this book .........Whether you are grieving the loss of a loved one or know someone that is........ then this book is for you.
Thankyou Edna Ann for accessing yourself to my book, for reading it, and for taking the time to share your feedback and insights. ~ HUGS ~ Love Deb
